Since 1970, James Sallis has published over twenty books of fiction, poetry, essays, musicology, biography, and translation. His most recent books include a collection of poems,
Sorrow’s Kitchen; essays, Gently into the Land of the
Meateaters; and stories, Time’s Hammers. His crime novel,
Ghost of a Flea, is the sixth and final title in the Lew Griffin series. Sallis spent his childhood in Helena, Arkansas, and has subsequently lived in New Orleans, London, New York City, Boston, and Paris. Currently a full-time writer, he lives with his wife, Karyn, in Phoenix.
