| Ellen
Winter lives with a cat and a dog in Mormon Lake, Arizona.
She divides her time between writing and the odd jobs
(housecleaning, painting, woodcutting, pet sitting, etc.) she does to
support herself.
Her first book, The Price You Pay: Stories, was published
in fall 2000, and she’s at work on a second collection of stories.
She has received a Longan Award for her fiction, as well as a
fellowship from the Arizona Commission on the Arts.
