This is strictly a drive-thru coffee
experience. They have decent drinks although aren't as
good as some of the real local places like Macy's or Late
for the Train. But, if you are on the go and want a
quick cup, then 'tis the place! |

A good place to stop for a cup of
coffee or to just hang out. They have regular music as
well so if you want to get the feel of local coffee shop,
then I'd recommend this place. Decent coffee and
pastries, and a nice atmosphere. They also are a
hotspot, so bring your laptop if you want! |

I think it's a cool idea to put a
coffee shop in a bike shop. But, it didn't really work
for me. You have to be into the whole biking
atmosphere to feel comfortable in the place, and the drinks
were just okay. I guess if you are a major biker and
want a tune-up while you get a drink, this is good. |

I'm not really sure what to think of
this place... It's not really a coffee shop, but a
Coffee Roasters shop. They do serve coffee, but are
more into providing coffee in bulk that they roast
themselves. I found the owner (Eric) and his son
really nice. Very into what they do! They
seem to be more into the development and manufacturing of
coffee to get just the right kind of bean, just the right
equipment, ... then really creating a place to hang our or
stop for a cup o' Joe. So, if you are into the "art of
coffee", want coffee catered at a big event, or want to try
something different with coffee, then stop by...! |

I was shocked to find that ownership had changed
since I was last in Campus Coffee Bean a few years ago. The entire atmosphere has changed. The coffee is still great but the ambience is no longer there. The new owner, a female, seemed more intent on being a typical LA or NY transplant than having the warm Flag kindness. Not worth a spit anymore.

I'm not super-impressed with this
place, but it was okay. The coffee was fine and they
seem to have a decent selection of drinks. The
"pastry cabinet" was a small little box on the
counter with very little options. Not much to choose
from... a couple of cookies, a brownie... As to the
atmosphere, it too was just okay. They have a sitting
room in the back that has a couch and a few small tables
(2-3 seats each). I was with a bunch of people, and
there wasn't anyplace for all of us to sit together.
There was also some bookshelves that seemed to have a very
focused religious tone. They plug themselves on the
sign as a "bookstore" too, but it's very small and
select. Overall, I give it a 5 because it wasn't great
or bad. Just okay!

Although the food was decent, the owner of the house (an older tall long haired blond lady) completely lacks tact when dealing with paying customers.
Today I had two bad experiences from the owner. The first bad experience (when things were slow), this owner acted as if he was doing a favor when I needed creamer for my coffee. The second bad experience I asked the owner (during a busy time, but between customers) I inquired about music at the house which a quick yes or no answer would have sufficed. She replied very rudely,
"can it wait!" All she needed to say, I will get to you as soon as I help these customers...
Please feel free to go to this house if you like your meal served with a side of rudeness...
Everyone who I used to recommend Campus Coffee Bean I take it back. All professors who I recommended this house

Macy’s is an extraordinary coffee
shop offering imaginative beverages and healthy edibles. I
have sat in coffee shops from Düsseldorf to Honolulu and
the quality of product at Macy’s easily holds it’s own.
I grew up in the 70’s and found the authentic retro
coffeehouse atmosphere sensational. I used Flagstaff as a
base of operations while exploring the South Rim of The
Grand Canyon . I started my day at Macy’s and ended it
with a soy mocha and raspberry-bar. Great job! I’ll be
back. ~ Chris Barton, New Joisey.

The only thing wrong with Macy's is the almost inevitable long line. But you meet interesting
people standing in line, and the coffee compares with any
I've had in Europe. (Star-who?) How good is this place? Four years after leaving Flagstaff, I still buy my coffee from
Macy's.

Late for the Train is the best coffee house I have visited. Their coffee tastes so fresh that I think it came directly out of the roaster and into the cup. Thanks Late for the Train. The coffee is great and the staff is friendly.

The atmosphere, the ambience, the coffee! This is the place that Flagstaff needed. Try the "Hammerhead" for a KICK like you never had. The pastries are made next door at the "Village Bakery" and are wonderful. However, it is the entertainment from the NAU students to the regulars that makes this place a "Can't miss".

I am adding my Aye! to Anonymous's review Macy's. It is truly one of the best
coffee houses in town, perhaps even other cities. I don't often go downtown for meals or coffee, but when I do, I often stop in. The meals are excellent as well, and I often buy a bag or two of their
excellent coffee beans. Kenya is my favorite. Whether meeting for business or just a get together, this is truly an experience to savor!

pastries are adequate.

I've always liked Brandy's. They are really friendly there. Their coffee is very good and
their food is good too.
Locally owned, I like to support them too. They also always have artwork and events that
really support the community (like high school kids).
Their pastries are pretty good too. In all, if you want a good cup and a good meal, stop on
by. I recommend it.

I'm always mixed about what I feel about Jitters. Their coffee is just okay.
They have good pastries, but I'm pretty sure they are shipped in (not made there fresh).
They have good sandwiches. The cost is a little high, and the service varies.
Jitters is a chain, but are locally owned.
In all, if you are on the far east side of town I would recommend stopping it. If you aren't,
I wouldn't make the trip.
I sit right in the middle with Jitters at a rating of 5 (bordering on 6).

Everyone in town loves Bookman's. They have a great selection of cheap books, music, etc...
Within the store is a Cyber Cafe that serves mainly coffee/espresso. The drinks are always
decent.
They don't have any pastries (which is a true drawback), but do have some small snacks.
On the side of the cafe are a row of computers that you can get onto the internet with. They
also sometimes have entertainment.
So, if you'd like an okay cup, want to get on the net, or want to buy some cheap books, I'd
highly recommend the Cyber Cafe.

I really like Macy's. They serve a great cup of espresso. My favorite things are a Cafe Mocha, their Frappes (slushed coffee or fruit
drinks), and the fresh squeezed honey-lemonade.
They also make great pasties. The thing about their baked goods that really makes me happy is that they label everything.
If you don't eat milk, eggs, wheat, etc... you can still find something. They tell what's inside.
Macy's is strictly vegetarian, and their full meals are "different". The service is "always" friendly, but a little inconsistent.
This place is a good representation of true "Flagstaff people". It is very laid back and really has a relaxing atmosphere.
It is also locally owned! In all, I totally think you'd enjoy this place.
